About me!

I am a third culture kid. Born and raised overseas (Philippines and Indonesia) and only returned to the US for college.

After trying that out (it was not a pretty trial run), moved back to Indonesia for a couple years and then back to the US again.

Got married, had 5 kids, got divorced, got married again and then had kiddo #6.

Currently happily married to my unicorn in Texas and trying not to raise jerk-holes or entitled brats.

Even Stevens with girls vs boys, blessed with 3 of each.

My oldest kiddo is on the autism spectrum and is non verbal. Talk about a steep learning curve-learning how to be a parent and a special needs parent at the same time.

I speak three languages fluently and un poco espanol. I dabble in other languages-primarily curse words and choice phrases.

One of my biggest struggles is wanting to settle in one place, have my giant ranch/farm/off the grid homestead and create deep roots versus my deeply rooted desire to travel and feed my wanderlust and share the experience of living overseas with my kids and move them here there and everywhere. First world problems…

Currently blessed to be a stay at home mom although I very rarely just stay at home. I’m usually found driving between where one kid needs to be on my way to where another kid needs to be. Being a stay at home mom and not working outside the home is a fairly new thing to me since I started my first job at 14 and have had many different jobs and careers in my almost 50 yrs on this earth. And FYI…stay at home mommas do a lot of work that largely goes unrecognized and sometimes unnoticed.

That’s’ pretty much mee in a nutshell…or nuthouse…depends on the day.
